Merry Christmas, dear readers! My first winner announcement for the Blogger Awards is here! It was a delight to take such an in-depth look at the beauty and genius of all the nominations! Thank you everyone for the nominations, and really, can we even thank the authors and artists enough for their work?
So without further ado, here are the three finalists!
I love the art of this piece. The lighting, the movement...the movement truly brings it alive. Mystery cloaks this warrior woman, compelling us to know her story....

Incredibly dramatic color. I love the clouds, and the detail of the constellations is mesmerizing! The chosen model is perfect, and toss of her hair really sets off the cover.
I love all of these covers. I would take a better look at the book from any of them. But in the end, the one that enchanted me most was...
The outcome was decided on how perfectly this cover's composition drew the viewer's eye: the descent of the railing, the lighting, and the model's pose.
Even though I haven't read two of these books, all the covers are quite intriguing, yes? I hope these awards help everyone find some great reading material!
Don't forget to check out the rest of the awards!

I love it! Now I have to read the Princess Spy... Thanks a ton, Hannah!
I love your choice! The Princess Spy really does have a gorgeous cover. :)
That's a pretty awesome looking cover!

There are some really cool covers here. I don't care what anyone says- most people do judge a book by it's cover, and if these are any indication- they're pretty good books. ;)
I've nominated you for the Best Blogging Buddies Award! http://writinginrivendell.blogspot.com/2014/12/best-blogging-buddies-award.html
Three lovely covers. It's hard to choose; my own gut instinct would have been PLENILUNE based on the art alone. Its martial splendour appeals to me far more than the other two, which are a mite too sparkly for my taste. When I showed my brother PLENILUNE's cover, his immediate response was "...I KIND OF WANT TO READ IT NOW" and I cannot imagine any of the other covers appealing to him at all. ;)
Where PLENILUNE's cover is a little weak is its typography. A hard art to get right. Melanie Dickerson's gets full marks for creative use of swashes in the title and a strongly contrasting sans serif author name.
I love to see the self-published books getting awesome cover art, but it'd be great to see more professional typography as well :).
