Views out the Window

I thought I would share some more images seen out my window that can inspire stories and strengthen plots. Photos courtesy of my brother and I. :)

This picture simply does not do these falls justice. The rocks surrounding it are like sculpted pillars curving against the cliff-face.
It's the Lonely Mountain!

Here dwells the winged people...or maybe the fortress of outlaws.

The elven wood awaits...

Okay, if I was a hero setting forth on an epic quest, I'm not sure whether I would be thrilled to trek through this valley or be utterly intimidated.

And the red sun rises! Okay, it's setting, not rising.

Oh. my. goodness.
The falls and the woods. I am insanely jealous. I'm going to run away to your house.

Heehee! Well, none of these pictures (save the sunset) are near my house, but they all are from Oregon. Except for the mountain valley one which is from Glacier Park. I hope you get that see that Park some day. It was incredible.

Ooooo, yes! Glacier National Park is amazing! And would be very intimidating without the right supplies, or if it was the wrong time of the year.

I love all these pictures!

"Praise the LORD from the earth...mountains and all hills; fruitful trees and all cedars;...Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven."

Gasp, gasp, gasp, and GASP.
"I lift my eyes unto the hills"...
Becky stole the verse I wanted to quote. Drat. Oh well, at least someone said it.
The woods and valley pictures make me think of Ellesmera.
