I wouldn't want Moonscript to be turned into a movie! Really. The story revolves around a tortured hero. While in literary form I can keep violent description low, that would be impossible in film. =p So for the most case, I imagine my other WIPS as movies.
Nevertheless, I still had a great time picking actors for the Moonscript movie that will never be! I thought you might enjoy seeing who I chose for the roles.
Cozi Zuehlsdorff as Tellie
While she might not look quite like how I picture Tellie, I know she has the personality for it from her adorable performance in the movie Dophin Tale.
Sean Cunningham as Kelm
He played a very minor role in the movie I saw him in (Secretariet), but I could not believe how much he looked like Kelm when I pulled this picture up.
AnnaSophia Robb as Tryss
This wonderful actress could easily pull off Tryss's spirit, sweetness, and maturity. Plus, she looks so much like how I imagine Tryss!
Now of course we come to the big question. Who could play Errance? Well, that's an answer I would like to know too! I considered Ben Barnes after his performance as Caspian X in 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader', but I wasn't able to find a picture of him that suited Errance at all. I'm sort of at a loss here. Can you think of anyone who could play Errance?

The actor/actresses look like your drawings! Wow! I cannot think of a anyone who looks like your character, Errance, but the drawing of him is interesting. He looks like he has a story.
Heh, heh, actually the drawings look like the actors/actresses. I drew this pictures of them to look like the actors so you could see what the actors would look like in character.
But seriously I could not believe how much the chosen actors fit Tryss and Kelm!
WOW, I love these depictions of your characters, Hannah! I have no idea of anyone who might fit Errance, as I have a hard time keeping track of the actors/actresses in the movies I watch, lol. XD AnnaSophia Robb is amazing, though. One of my favourite actresses. :) Her role as Bethany Hamilton in "Soul Surfer" moved me to tears.
Oh yes, her acting in 'Soul Surfer' was incredible. I love that movie.

Personally, I picture Errance looking something like a young Ioan Gruffud from his Horatio Hornblower days! Not a standardly-handsome man, but full of brooding charisma. :)

Oooo, I LOVED Ioan Gruffud's acting in the role of William Wilberforce in the wonderful movie 'Amazing Grace'. While Errance is more finer-featured, I can definitely see the resemblance in acting. :D
Ioan Gruffud would be great. Although I think Richard Armitage would be the perfect Errance. He plays great dark and brooding characters, not to mention he's quite handsome...

I love the drawings, and I think I have the perfect actor for Errance. Brace yourself ... Orlando Bloom! (either way, could you draw me a picture of him?)

Richard Armitage does play great dark and brooding characters (although I've only ever seen him as Thorin lol), but I think he's probably too old. Errance is a fairly young elf (only 90), but he has been through a lot.
I'm thinking of sharing another excerpt soon. But I have a few different blog posts planned before that. :)
I've considered him. He's certainly handsome enough, but he's so fixed in his role as Legolas. Plus the features aren't quite correct for Errance. Sigh...I suppose Errance will be confined to the page...and the imagination!

I have to say that when I saw that picture of Errance, I thought of Orlando Bloom. We know from his role in LoTR that he can pull off the ears and his personality and looks in Kingdom of Heaven look like this picture. Wow, I've never seen Orlando in his role in Kingdom of Heaven. He certainly can play an elf, knight, or pirate well.
